The Playdate is a new kind of handheld device created by Panic Inc and designed by teenage engineering. It’s designed to be portable and handheld, but it also has a unique crank on the side that can be used to play games, and also it is also small enough to easily fit in your pocket. The Playdate’s most unique feature is the way it plays games, it has a dual controller mode composed of the standard buttons on the front, and the crank on the side of the device which gives the player a physical way to interact with the game making it a more immersive and fun experience. When it comes to specs it comes with 16MB of RAM and 4GB of flash storage, an accelerometer for motion-based input, a 400 x 240 1-bit display, a built-in mono speaker, condenser mic, and stereo headphone jack, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. The battery lasts for about 8 hours of active play on a single charge which is impressive considering its size. Packed with 24 games it sure looks like loads of fun.
