The Rolling Stones and Boston Dynamics robots

Boston Dynamics

When you think of iconic rock bands, it’s hard to not think of The Rolling Stones. And now, the British band has a new fan: Boston Dynamics’ robot dog, Spot. In the company’s newest video, we can see the robot “dancing” along to the Stones’ tune Start Me Up.

The side-by-side video features Mick Jagger performing the 1981 music video on the left, and Spot doing its thing on the right. And as the rest of the Stones make their way into the video, so too do additional robots, creating a pretty darn accurate shot-for-shot recreation of the fantastic music video (well, as accurate as it can be).

Behold, The Rolling Stones in fancy spandex! And while Spot and his three companions aren’t donning fancy outfits, they sure are having a ton of fun dancing around by the looks of it. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Boston Dynamics bots dance, though—we’ve seen another model dance a choreographed routine to Do You Love Me by The Contours. And last time we checked in on them, one of their robots completed a mostly-polished parkour run. What will they think of next?
