We’ll get a sneak peek at the “future of PS5” during a September 9th PlayStation Showcase. While details on the event are a bit slim, Sony says that the “industry’s most imaginative developers” will show up to talk about games and “updates from PlayStation Studios.”

Sony is probably getting ready to launch the next PS5 software update, which includes UI improvements for the PS5 dashboard, M.2 storage expansion support (currently a Beta-exclusive feature), and 3D audio support for TVs with built-in speakers.

But the new PS5 update is just one part of Sony’s 40-minute stream. We expect the company to talk about upcoming games, including Gran Turismo 7 and the delayed God of War: Ragnarock.

One thing’s for sure—Sony says it won’t talk about its new PS5 VR headset. There’s a good chance that the PS5 VR won’t arrive until 2022, so maybe Sony is trying to focus on holiday releases during this event.

The September 9th PlayStation Showcase airs at 4 PM EST (1 PM PT). You can catch it on YouTube and Twitch.
