Good kids’ toys follow a very predictable formula; they’re exciting and trendy, they mix the old with the new, and they annoy the crap out of parents. From what we can tell, Razor’s new line of Lightshow scooters and RipSticks tick all those boxes—all models have integrated LED lights, and one model packs a built-in Bluetooth speaker to blast the latest TikTok hits.

Don’t lie, you would’ve loved this stuff when you were a kid. Razor is launching four Lightshow products on September 19th, including the flagship Razor Sonic Glow Electric Scooter. Integrated multicolored LEDs on the scooter’s steering tube and deck light up when the scooter is in motion, and can even pulse to the beat of music played through the scooter’s speaker.

As its name suggests, the Razor Sonic Glow Electric Scooter runs on a rechargeable 24V battery and provides around 55 minutes of riding time. It’s intended for kids 8 and up and supports riders up to 120 pounds, meaning that the Review Geek staff are a bit too big to review it. Still, it seems like a killer toy at $190.

Other products in Razor’s new Lightshow lineup include the Razor A+ Kick Lightshow, a non-electric scooter with multicolored LEDs in its deck and wheels. It fits kids 6 and up and has a maximum capacity of 143 pounds. And for just $45, the Razor A+ Kick Lightshow is a much more accessible item than the Sonic Glow Electric Scooter (especially if your kid has a short attention span for this kind of stuff).

There’s also the RipStik DLX Mini Lightshow, a board that casts light on the ground and has four different lighting effects. It’s made for children 8 and up with a maximum capacity of 175 pounds and costs just $60. The tricycle-styled RipRider 360 Lightshow packs over 60 motion-activated LEDs in its 360-spinning wheel, fits kids 5 and up with a max capacity of 160 pounds, and costs $100.

All of Razor’s Lightshow products launch on September 19th. Bear in mind that the Sonic Glow Electric Scooter is the only model with a built-in Bluetooth speaker; the Razor A+ Kick Lightshow, RipStik DLX Mini Lightshow, and RipRider 360 Lightshow simply have motion-sensing multicolored LEDs.
