At Nintendo’s 83rd annual shareholders meeting [last week](https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/stock/meeting/), president and CEO Shuntaro Furukawa [said the company is hoping for a smooth transition](https://gonintendo.com/contents/22314-nintendo-president-shuntaro-furukawa-says-their-next-console-will-use-the-same) from the Switch to its unannounced next game console, pointing to Nintendo Accounts as being key to the generational hand-off.
