Galaxy S24 Plus

The Galaxy S24 series is still months away from officially launching, and luckily for many of you, the first Galaxy S24 Plus benchmark leak has come forward, revealing that the U.S. variant of the flagship will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We also get to check out other crucial information, so let us get right into the details.

New benchmark leak shows Samsung has yet to learn its lesson on increasing RAM specifications, Galaxy S24 Plus spotted with only 8GB memory

This version of the Galaxy S24 Plus sports the model number SM-S926U, and it was apparently tested with Android 14 on Geekbench 6. The results were spotted by MySmartPrice, revealing that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be a part of innards, and has obtained a single-core and multi-core score of 2233 and 6661, respectively. Disappointingly, this particular variant will only ship with 8GB RAM, revealing that Samsung intends to cut costs with this version, which can also mean that the Galaxy S24 Plus will stick with an aluminum chassis instead of a titanium one.

Like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 features a single super core, and it is likely the Cortex-X4 that was tested with a frequency of 3.30GHz. The overall CPU cluster is in the ‘1 + 3 + 2 + 2’ configuration, with the image below showing the clock speeds of the remaining cores. A second image shows that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 running in the Galaxy S24 Plus will also feature Qualcomm’s Adreno 750 GPU, but sadly, no specification details were provided.

U.S. version of the Galaxy S24 Plus spotted in latest benchmark leak

Given that the San Diego is expected to unveil its flagship SoC in October later this year, it is not difficult to imagine the first wave of Geekbench 6 results showing up on the website. However, we should inform readers that the benchmark leak is no longer present on the Geekbench 6 database, implying that the results may not have been legit or that the original uploader may have gotten cold feet. In any case, the benchmark leak is an interesting one as it revealed tons of information about not just the flagship but also the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
