After nearly two years of work and planning, Amazon is set to release its own line of Amazon-branded smart TVs in the US. These new Fire TVs could even arrive as soon as next month, according to Business Insider.

As we all know, Amazon is no stranger to the TV segment. They sell their own AmazonBasics TV sets in India, not to mention offer Amazon Fire TV on devices from Toshiba, Insignia, and sell millions of Fire TV sticks and cubes to the masses. However, now it looks like Amazon wants to deliver its very own TV to customers.

The Amazon brand television will come with Alexa and should be offered in sizes between 55 and 75-inches. Business Insider suggests they’ll be manufactured by TCL, which already makes TVs for other brands, including Samsung. That said, Amazon is also working on a new TV being designed in-house, which could arrive later.

It’s unclear how Amazon plans to differentiate its HDTV from the many already available, if at all, but we’ll have to wait and see. However, if the reports and rumors are true, we could see a new Amazon Basics Fire TV debut in the United States this October, just in time for Black Friday and holiday shopping.
