25 Beautiful Vintage Setups From the 80s and 90s
Discover 25 cool setups from where it all got started.
This post might trigger some feeling of nostalgia to some people, if you are in your 40-50's it probably will, if you are in your early 20's it will probably look funny. I'm in my early 30's and I'm somewhere in between, when Pentium II was around, that's when I got my first access to the computer world.
After watching the Instagram profiles of isetups, thedreamsetup, etc.. there are many. You just can't ignore the fact how cool those setups are, with multiple 4K monitors, LED lights, stands, sound systems, all perfectly color-matched and arranged. For someone who spend a lot of time on the pc, it's like a paradise. It's a beautiful evolution of how these setups are integrating computer technology with astethics.
After seeing all those cool setups I started wondering what were the setups back in the day when it all got started? Were there any people who perfectly organized their desks and matched the colors of their gadgets with the desk and the lamp? So, I decided the explore the topic a bit further and found that it’s really hard to find something that gets any near to what we see today, maybe because they were not available to as many people as today and culture was different? Anyhow after some digging around the web, here are the best I found.
