Porsche Taycan 2022 in Pink

Porsche

This week Porsche announced the newly improved 2022 Porsche Taycan with several upgrades, better tech, and a slew of colors options, including a hot new pink variant. In addition, the 2022 Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo electric vehicles are coming to US dealerships later this year, starting at $81,250.

Today, the German automaker announced that its 2022 model of the Taycan comes with Android Auto, faster charging, remote park-assist features, and up to 65 additional exterior color options, which is impressive.

To be more specific, Porsche says it optimized the thermal management system to handle higher temperatures, which will increase charging speeds. Earlier models could charge at a rate of 270 kW, but the 2022 model can reach 350 kW.

While the Taycan already had Apple CarPlay, 2022 models will also come with Android Auto, a welcomed addition. Then, it looks like the company added a remote park-assist feature where users could call on the vehicle with a smartphone app, similar to Tesla’s summon mode.

Through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, you can order the Taycan in 65 additional colors, including the pink Rubystar, Riviera Blue, and unique colors like Acid Green.

Porsche recalled a previous generation of the Taycan for loss of power issues. A problem it quickly fixed with a software update. As a result, we’re not expecting a similar situation when the new 2022 model arrives at dealerships later this year. Unfortunately, that’s the only release date timetable we have thus far.
